To roll back, you have to uninstall version 9.
This will not delete configuration information, but the v9 configuration files are not valid in version 8.

You have to uninstall version 9, install version 8 and then restore the configuration files from a backup that is old enough.

The v9 installer will uninstall v8 first. We chose to do that because any workspaces saved from v9 cannot be opened in v8.

I have installed 9.0.1 and i am currently not satisfied with it. I tried to reinstall 8.15.1 which stopps with an alert: Cannot install over newer version

Doing multiple undo on a long document is confusing, because TP 9.01 does not scroll to the place where the undo was done.

There was a change to add the box to the line highlighting in version 8.13.

This was quickly changed in 8.14 so that the box was suppressed if the foreground and background colours were the same.

Same here. The dotted border is hiding underscores which is very annoying.

In some cases it may be usefull to detect the higlighted line better. Maybe it can be a setting?

The character set settings for a particular file type is not used when saving a file.

Open TP8 (german), save a new document. The preset document name is document1.txt even when file type was set to e.g. *.php previously. It should be document1.php.

Another problem is, the setting of character set. It does not show the preset of the file type, it shows always 'Standard'. But a even ...

1. open files by 'find in files' => encoding is used like defined by class
2. detect files when umlaut is in search strings in 'find in files' AND diplays all umlaut correct in the result list
3. open files by double click => encoding is used like defined by class

Yes, this is what i found. Of course i have set TP to open the files (standard, txt, php, ...) as utf-8.

BUT when you open the file in another way than "menu > file > open" there is another behavior in TP8. TP8 does NOT use the settings when opening a file by "search in files".

when 7.0.0 was introduced, "search in files" for an 'umlaut' did not work at all. After some time on Version 7.4.0 or 7.5.0 it worked correct - Thank you for that!

The function "search in files" do NOT work in any file type, which contains the umlauts but for ANSI files.

It is somehow confusing, but i try to explain what works and what doesn't.
