when i goto install the program it dosent ask me where to install and goes right to my HD on computer . I want the program on my pen drive ???

changing the manage files in textpad
I notice that all my files get created in c:\....document blah blah
I want to change the dir that i work out of and have .class files put in. I saw the Manage file icon but i cant figure out how to change the path . Can anyone asst ? Thanks in advance

well i never ran it in cmd . I tried to load the .class file and the file is asking what program i should assicoate it with..... hmm i just used that program NetBeans and that seems to load it without a problem. I am new to the board but am having the same problem. I am a first time user of textpad but using it in school on a w2k machine works fine. Instructor told me to try older version java.sun 1.4.1 and that still doesnt work or new version . I am running on XP system. Any help would be great i need ...
