select moves cursor but does not select

I'm using ctrl-s-home to select text from the cursor to the beginning of file. It moves the cursor to the beginning of the file but doesn't select the text.

I'm trying to delete n lines - is there an easy way of doing this?

Getting around file size

I have a 1.4 gig file that is too large for textpad. Is there a way to read or get the first n records of the file?

positioning the cursor on line 50 column 20 doesn't help as I can't read the entire file.

how to set block on specific column or append comma to every

Hi, I'm new to textpad and not sure how to issue any user base commands. Is there an easy way to mark a specific column over 300,000 lines/records. Scrolling through the file is not really a viable option. Alternatively, I'm just trying to add a comma (',') at the end of every line. Could someone ...

Align text in a block

Hi, I have an 80 column file. In Columns 10 through 20 I have numbers but some of them are aligned right and some of them are aligned left within the block marked 10 to 20. Is there a way to align all these numbers to the right within the block i.e. they all end in column 20? Great product. Thanks ...
