Regardless of whether I use File, Open or the Open button on the toolbar, I see the message:

File not found.

Check the file name and try again.

I can't reproduce this. Can anyone else?

No, not here; all appears normal.

But I should add - I've only tried with Windows 10, not Windows 11. Although I wouldn't expect the different Windows version to have any affect.

Yes, it started with version 9.6; all prior versions were fine. Attached is a ZIP archive containing the "original" .html file, and the resulting "edited" .html file that I require.

I installed the 64-bit version of TextPad 9.6.0 a few days ago, and have encountered a couple of problems with which I would like some help.
The original problem was when editing a saved newspaper .html file:
I selected about 96 lines and deleted them, then selected about 21 lines and deleted ...

Is there a TextPad 8.4.0? I thought the latest version of TextPad 8, released a few days ago, was 8.2.0.

Well, in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Helios\TextPad\9 is all the most up to date files.

This issue occurs if the system date is incorrect. I've encountered computers where the time was set relatively wrong, as in: it had the wrong time zone chosen just to fit the current daylight saving (or vice versa) instead of choosing the correct time zone and tick the " adjust for daylight ...

Trying to uninstall TextPad 8.12 on a Windows 10 computer, I get the following error messages, then the uninstall ends (without doing anything):
