next and previous cursor position (forward and back)
This is very painful for me. I edit large log files and have to go 'back' and forward to where i was often. Even searching and editing code I do this all the time. All I can say is that this is painful and most everything about Textpad is great. But due to this I am constantly looking for a ...

navigation history is not bookmarks
Needed is sometimes called web navigation or Forward and Back, or Navigation History. This just can go forward and back in history of lines that have been navigated to in a file. This is very important and needed often, especially for those of us who cannot bookmark places before they are known to ...

Bookmarks for Navigation?
The bookmark feature requires the user to set bookmarks to navigate through previous locations in the file. The Previous/Next Navigation allows a user to goto previous cursor locations on different lines that she has visited, and to visit next and previous locations, similar to traversing a stack of ...

Navigation?
It would be VERY nice to have simple next and previous using a set of cursor positions in the file (on different lines would be fine!). Is this possible or could this be in the next version?

new textpad release 5.1
Fantastic. I love it. This version is excellent!
(As long as I UnDock the Search Results Window in my small opinion that should be default)
Thanks so much. It looks and works fantastic!
The money I paid 10 years ago was SO well spent.
Unicode and UTF-8 seems good too. wow!

GO button
the GO button is useful to find references in text, display them in a floating menu, and jump to them in the text. (GO to references of this highlighted item, or word under the cursor). For an example (I hope it's not patented) see VisualAssist (for visual c) at www.wholetomato.com; they add a few ...

Navigation Web Toolbar (foreward/back and context menu)
I depend on TextPad every day all day. It's been great for me for 10 years. (since an original Sun Java book included it) You don't know how great working with syntax highlighting on a BLACK background is until you try it with all the bells and whistles, line numbers, etc. that said, really need ...

mulitple highlight/select/copy/paste
I was trying to read a complex file, and was wishing to be able to select multiple items simultaneously. If you had, say, 10 (any number) selections on the document at one time, you could copy them all with one command. This acts like a kind of manual filter. You could also paste say one clip to ...

folding in the workspace like bookmarks
Since Bookmarks for files are saved in the Workspace, this is the proper place, and it works great.
If you don't use Workspaces, there should be a default one.
Why aint there?
