Using wildcards in the rename dialog

The help shows this:
How to Rename a File
From the File Menu, choose Manage Files (F3). The Manage Files dialog appears.
Toolbar:
Type the name of the file that you want to rename. This may include a path if it is not in the current working folder. The filename may be a wildcard pattern if you ...

Thanks. I wasn't aware they use the same instruction set.

AMD Ryzen support

The last version I downloaded was 9.5.1. I just went to download 9.8.2 and there is only Intel and ARM versions. Is the AMD version no longer supported?

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

No, the encoding issue was resolved. Closing and re-opening the file corrected that issue (still don't understand why it didn't work before, but I digress). As far as the "Custom" class goes, I don't understand why it has to do that when "B09" is the document class the document is assigned to. The ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

I have made a discovery. I have 3 .B09 documents open in my workspace, SOKOBAN.B09, Undo.B09 and Program Variables.B09. For SOKOBAN.B09 and Program Variables.B09 I have already looked at the preferences dialog and both show class "Custom". Undo.B09 I had not looked at. I selected it and opened the ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

The first one I have disabled in the "Configuration->Preferences->Edit" section.
The second one, there's no option to change the class in the Preferences dialog box in TextPad.

As I stated above, the "View->Document Preferences->Document" tab shows class "B09" when I open the file. If I switch ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

OK, I will start attaching my images instead of hosting them on my website. I understand what you are saying about the quotes, so I will try to remember that.

On the "Custom" class, the class shown in Document Preferences Document tab was "B09" for about 5 minutes. Then it reverted back to "Custom ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

OK, it's strange. I closed out the file and reopened it. Now it shows ANSI and class B09 in the Document Preferences Document tab and ANSI encoding in the Document Preferences Preferences tab. I did the same thing yesterday and it didn't change anything.

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

I think you must be using .editorconfig files, as that results in a custom document class.

I don't even know what .editorconfig files are. I've never purposely used one.
This is what mine looks like now. I've edited the file since uploading a copy here, so the numbers are different, but the ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

I have taken screenshots of "Configure->Preferences->Document Classes->B09". I will also include the "b09.syn" file to make it complete. The other sections are immaterial as I didn't edit them.

Config1.png
Config2.png
Config3.png

As with the previous file, I had to rename the syntax file to ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

I didn't know I was supposed to attach any files. I can provide the file named in the images.
Just because the encoding shown in the document properties is "irrelevant" doesn't mean it should be incorrect. It should reflect whatever the file's encoding is. I consider that an error.
I'm not sure ...

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

As my previous question concerning document class assignment has not been answered, and since I also now have a new issue concerning document encoding on the same class, I thought I would post images here to provide detail of what I am asking.

What the encoding is set as in the configuration ...

Re: numbers color setting not being applied to documents in the HTML document class

This must be an elusive bug. It has been the better part of a month and no response at all. I have been thinking the devs are tracking down the bug, but this must be a hard one to be taking so long to resolve. Good luck guys.

Re: filename extensions in the document classes

This can't be consistent:
Either your files are already wrongly encoded in UTF-8 (because 0xAE alone is not valid in UTF-8) or it's not UTF-8 to begin with.
TextPad changes nothing unless you save the file. Not looking at the encoding you use when saving the file is your fault - why does your ...

numbers color setting not being applied to documents in the HTML document class

I have been using the 9.3.0 64-bit version. The first thing I did was look for a new version and found 9.4.1, so I installed it. The same problem occurs. I haven't worked with other classes where I used the numbers color setting, so I can only speak towards the HTML class. The default color is not ...
