Show page break

I can control where page breaks occur by going back and forth between the editor and the print preview screen (and using insert page break), but it is a tedious business. It would be much easier if the editor could be made to show where the "default" page breaks are just as it currently shows where the "user defined" page breaks are. I have looked around pretty carefully, but I can't find an option to do this sort of thing. Am I missing something?
