Focus when clicking back in TEXTPAD

I have a weird problem, and I am wondering if other experience this frustrating thing.
Let's say I have one Textpad window open, with some document listing user names.
I have also another application in which I paste some of the info found in the Textpad document.
When I click in the Textpad window, the cursor appears where it was when I left the window, not where I click. I then have to click again where I want the cursor to appear.
Do I sound too confusing?
Am I the only one for which this occures?
Is there a work around?

Would be a great enhancement to have the cursor appear where you click when the textpad window get's focus back.
