Turn off Hover / Mouse-Over on Non-Document Tabs

Post by ABaratta »

Howdy...

I would really like to see added a switch that allows the user to turn off the hover / mouse over activation of the non-document tabs.

e.g. Explorer, Tool Results, Search Results

And have the option for the tabs to be click enabled for open and for close.

It's so annoying to mouse around and accidentally over shoot the horizontal scroll bar and have the tool output or search results activate. You have to mouse away, wait for the tabbed window to return to it's home, then back to the scroll bar.

Or when you mouse over to the File Menu and touch the explorer tab, Textpad "freezes" while it's calculating the directory tree. You wait for that, then it open, mouse away, then it closes, then you can go back to the Tool bar / Text menu for what you really wanted to do.

Every application I work with every day, MS Visual Studio, Toad, TextPad has this behaviour - and I can't be the only one that finds this the so annoying and aggravating.

Please!! Can we have a switch that allows the user to have click enabled non-document tabs instead of hoover activated ones??

Thanks.
