Settings: File Based not Registry Based; XML not INI

I would love registry free settings and xml config file in preference to flat ini file. This would be my number one enhancement request.
Yeah I would like a setting like that, I've always had a preference on stand alone applications that use their installation directory as working directory instead of relying on registry and/or profile based directories (Application Data). An INI or CFG file where the application is installed is just better for users that like their application configuration more accessible and immune to deletion when you re-install Windows.
I saw programs like Media Player Classic having the option to both which is a win:win situation so it's possible to add an option like that.
