Mark All function enhancement for selected text only

Hi all,
Currently when using the Mark All function from the Search Menu (keyboard shortcut: F5), searching for any pattern and then marking it results in bookmarking ALL occurrences throughout the file.
Can some functionality be added so there be some way of selecting and only bookmarking occurrences from within a selection of text ather than the whole thing?
In the meantime, anyone know of a workaround? I presume the only way would be to copy the chunk you want to work on into a separate file, bookmark it against your search pattern, do whatever you need with the bookmarked lines (i.e. delete them), then post them back into the original. It might work but it is a bit messy!
Thanks a lot
Martin
