Spell checking and brackets

I'd like to use TextPad when I write postings for various on-line forums. The BB Code on the forums uses square brackets to surround the formatting tags. I'd like TP's spell checker to ignore those square brackets when it does a spell check. It handles them very oddly, apparently insisting that the brackets should be included in the words its spell checking. Of course we all know they shouldn't.

Example: If I put something in italics with [i]this is in italics[/i], TP stops its spell checker on i]this as if its misspelled. Obviously that's wrong, and I'd like it to stop doing that. Also, obviously adding spaces around all the tag brackets is a poor workaround and not the proper way to use BB Code.

Usually I'm not saving these files as anything, just using the editor to create them and spell check them before copying and pasting into the forum input boxes. They don't get filenames or extensions, so they aren't part of any document classes.

Any help?

Apparently the person with an answer hasn't read this post yet. If it's just a flaw in the program, I eagerly await the upgrade with the repair.

Of course brackets and parentheses shouldn't act any differently than double quotes in a spell checker. Obviously this TextPad behavior is wrong. Anyone have any idea when an upgrade might be made available to fix this broken part of the program?

Does anyone know if this problem has been repaired in v5.3.1?
