Foreign language characters : tranform them in non accented

It could be usu helpful to add a fonction in the EDIT MENU : tranform in non accented the foreign language characters...
The biggest challenge I see is that perhaps Helios's vision of the character mapper may not align with the users. When I was dealing with Unicode data at my previous employer, we used the unicode hammer to achieve the same end.
Extra style points were awarded in my eyes for calling it the Unicode hammer.
