Lockup Windows taskbar when Textpad is open

We frequently have the problem that the Windows taskbar is not accessible. You can not click in any of the opened programs and Alt Tab doesn't bring you there. Only manually minimizing programs brings me at the program. What helps is: terminate Explorer from the tasklist (the whole taskbar disappears) then run Explorer from a DOS box (which should be open then of course) (the taskbar re-appears and all is selectable again).

Now we found out that it happens when Textpad is open (and is solved when closed!).

What can be the cause?

In order to prevent TextPad from staying on top of other windows, you will need to implement the following procedure:

From the Configure menu choose:

1. Preferences
2. View
3. Uncheck the option to "Stay on top of other windows"
4. Click Apply / OK.

I hope this helps.

Yes it does! That's quick. I've never realized I put it on, nor that it basically disables my access to programs in the taskbar.

Thanks for the quick solution.
