I searched the forum for this issue and found nothing. I've been using TextPad for several years and suddenly this issue started yesterday and it's really annoying. Basically, if I'm working in TextPad, the window will not minimize if I click another application in the windows TaskBar. I have to manually minimize TextPad before going to a new application window which is really annoying and innefficient.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and had no success in addition to rebooting windows several times. I am using the 5.2 community edition ... hoping this is just a configuration issue. Any ideas?

In order to prevent TextPad from staying on top of other windows, you will need to implement the following procedure:

From the Configure menu choose:

1. Preferences
2. View
3. Uncheck the option to "Stay on top of other windows"
4. Click Apply / OK.
