files by workspace / ^-Open by instance.

I find the ten or so Last Files Used somewhat limiting as there are literally hundreds of files I have looked at or edited or used in one way or another at one time or another. It just gets cramped. I have relied on using the gui folder system to maintain some sort of 'memory' but being able to keep a remarkably long list of files opened in a workspace as part of the workspace would seem consistent with the approach taken already. The workspace files seem to be able to maintain bulky information as it is.
Another, somewhat limiting factor, is that with two or three instances of TP open with several files in each instance ~ opening a file in Instance[n] passes to all open instances. In general, what would be more useful is to have a past-historical-list of 'files' be as a general solution a directory listing for the individual instance, ..... I find that I open files in one folder as a ****** aspect clarifies where I am at and what that window is for.
One approach that would be remarkably effective is to have files listed on File/Open/History as being a scrolling list of files visited in that workspace. Additionally, some sort of archiving construct using that approach to dig deep in to past work would allow recovery of long-lost ideas and so on. Another approch would be to have an OpenFile from the dropdown menu such as the auto-finding capabilities of #include statements being recognized but with a default of current directory rather than compiler home environment variable. Possibly with or without filename filtering.
