Hi,

When i uninstall Textpad, I remember it leaves the license key in the registry? Is there a way to remove the license from registry?

I work contract in different companies and the last time i tested this - when i uninstall the registered version of textpad, and then re-install it (to test if the full version is still activated), I found that Textpad is kept activated.

I basically want to remove the license somehow when I leave a contract.

1. You could manually do the removal.

2. Or, you could make a reg file with a blank value for the license key.

3. Or you could make a reg file to wipe out all values under Helios.

Thanks I think i should have been more specific. :)

1. Which registry key stores the license?
2. Is it only in one place?
3. Do i need to delete any other key other than the license? E.g. settings keys or something?

I guess I could search for Textpad in the registry but I'm not sure if that would get them all.

Thanks

The registration information is here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Helios\TextPad 4\License

Key for AuthCode and the key for UserInfo both contain parts of the registration license information.

Where would this information be located in v5.2?
