Any chance you softeare wizards can make TextPad U3 launchable? I have a U3 compatible drive and being able to run programs from it is amazingly helpful.

1. You can run Textpad from a thumb drive in "Eval" mode, which doesn't save your print/keyboard/etc. settings.

2. I found an editor over at boxersoftware.com which is a: portable and b: has editable macros, a feature that was first requested from Helios over ten years ago.

My advice on a Portable Textpad is "don't hold your breath."

The folks over at IDM software (UltraEdit) have had a U3 version of UltraEdit for some time. Today they released a Portable Application Format version. I've tried it. It works, and for all of the love I bear TextPad's simplicity and ease of use, I'm switching.

I need portability and editable scripts. Now I've got 'em.
