Block select mode, multiple select results in multiple types

Hi

the only reason i still use other editor is when i am in block select mode and i want to type in multiple of the same characters

i.e

editor (line numbers on)
1 abc
2 ac
3 ac
4 ac
5

Block select mode on, current cursor position line 2 col 2, type 3x: shift crsr down, type b and voila: in stead of 4x abc only 2x abc and 2x ac can be read ;0(

I have been waiting so long for this behaviour to arive in textpad. can this be added please please please...
