Split in 5.1.0 absorbs!

Hi.
I just upgraded to 5.1.0 and I have two files open and I can not get them to be on the same page. When I do split, the split happens only on one file and the same file appears on both. I am going to have to go back to the older one that had split horizotal or vertical and used all the files that I have opened. Is this possible in the new version?

Hi josé,
I had the same problem with 5.1.
The fix is to go to the View menu item and uncheck the Document Tabs menu item.

Wow, this is really a pain in the neck. How come you can't minimize some of the windows? I have six documents open and would like to minimize 4 of them and tile the other two vertically like I could in version 4.x. It would be nice if the "Document Tabs" had a "new vertical tab group" like other editors do.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I like v4.X better. It was just the editor friend. Now, it is hard to handle screens.
anyway...
