Hi,
the Macro menu only shows "Stop Recording" after I've upgraded to 5.1.
Obviously this must have to do with my Windows XP configuration.
But is there a solution?

Removing config.xml from a directory under C:\Documents and Settings has been mentioned in another post, but there is no such directory or file on my PC.

Have you tried clicking that menu item "Stop Recording"?

In my Textpad 5.1, there is either "Record" or "Stop Recording" but never both at the same time (and both show Ctrl-Shift-R as shortcut).

Please try deleting the file config.xml, which you will find at the following location, and then try starting up TextPad. Exit from TextPad before deleting the file.

C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0

I was having the same problem.
This fixed it.

True, deleting config.xml does solve the problem. However, this problem is occurring on an almost daily basis for me. And every time I delete config.xml, my customizations are lost.

Can we expect a fix for this problem soon?
