When I right click on a file in the Windows explorer and click on Textpad, the file is not opened in Textpad 5.0.3, which I just installed over version 4.7.3. Before , with version 4.7.3, the file would be opened, but only, if Textpad was already open. Before that, Textpad would be started with the file if not open yet, as I would expect. The entry "Textpad" in the context menu of explorer has been there since several years.
When I select the file in explorer, then click File, Open with, Textpad, then the file is opened, but I get this message
"The file xxx (or one of its components) was not found. Make sure ...".
Should I have uninstalled the old Textpad 4.7.3 before installing the new version? But I wanted to inherit its configuration, and I did.
Who knows what I did wrong?
I am using Windows 2000 Pro SP4.
