Request for new Syn file: CSound
Posted: Thu Jan 03, 2008 8:56 pm
I am new to this forum, but not new to Textpad which I have used for many years.
I have recently become involved with integrating Perl and CSound files and find myself hindered by not having the extensions for CSound (.sco, .orc, .csd) trigger the benefits of syntax highlighting available in other tool sets like Perl, etc.
I searched the Textpad forums for CSound and got only one hit, which cited a user's requirement to uninstall Textpad or otherwise change the default .sco CSound NotePad association to Textpad.
Has any other user of both Textpad and CSound investigated or written the necessary syntax definition file for employing Textpad in the creation of CSound instrument, ORChestration and SCOre files?
It seems to me that Textpad would be the ideal IDE for CSound support file creation.
Thanks for any replies or directions on how to create the syntax file myself.
Happy New Year,
