I suggest that preferences are developed to select the front text color and the back text color to allow for more contrast to the line containing the cursor.

Sometimes when a search is performed it is dificult to find the line highlighted because of a poor contrast.

Just set the foreground/background colors for
Current Line
Selected Text
Selected Text (no focus)
to whatever colors you want. Do so for all document classes where the colors are different from what you want.
