Multiple document editing for large monitors

Hello,
I got a large monitor, 24" with a resolution of 1920x1200.
I usually have many documents open in one TextPad, somewhere between 5-20! And often I'm working in multiple documents that are related.
For instance, I can be working in one xhtml file and a css stylesheet, and also perhaps a javascript code.
I always have to click the tab above to go from one file to another, and that can be very repetitive if you're doing minor changes in all the files.
So you can see my problem?
My solution, since I have a large monitor, would be to split the screen up into 4 parts, similar to the "Window > Split" feature, except when in this mode I don't have the same document in all 4 parts, but a separate document.
This used to be somewhat possible when tiling the windows, but that feature seems to be gone alongside with cascade. I never really used those since it was hard to go maintain that view if you had to open other documents.
