I have 2 monitors attached to my system. Some times when textpad opens on the main monitor, it puts the find dialog box in the lower left corner of the second monitor. I don't usually have the second monitor on and have to turn it on an move the dialog box back to the first monitor.

A lot of times, video card drivers control the desktop settings. One of the options in my NVIDIA display driver(s) is to force children windows to open on the same monitor as the main application that spawned it. This is likely a graphics driver settings issue rather than an application-specific one.

Thanks for the info. I had this set correctly but somehow changed.
