TP5 & Context Menu in Explorer

Hil all,

I have just installed TextPad 5.0.3 over my previous 4.7 version.

With the previous version (4.7) when invoking the contextual menu in Explorer on a file (right-clik), we had an item "TextPad" which allowed us to edit any file with TextPad.

Looks like this feature has disappeared.
Now I have to register the file extension with TextPad or rummage in several sub-menus to do the same thing (Right-Click / Open with ... / Choose Program ). Hardly an improvment

Is there a way to have this menu item back in the contextual menu?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This has been asked many times.
Close all instances of TextPad, except one.
Open Configure > Preferences > General
Check "Context Menu"

(If "Context Menu" is already checked, uncheck it, restart TextPad, and check the box.)

Close TextPad to save your settings

That doesn't always work.

If not, try this:
