THE SCENARIO:
You have a delimited file with irregular column widths, ruling out the use of 'default tab spacing' because that would put too much white space on the screen (making for long horizontal scrolls). The use of 'Tab stops' only work if you have fewer than 32 columns of data, and even so, setting tab stops is tedious and all your hard work is lost if the next file has different data lengths within columns.
THE SUGGESTION:
A feature that could dynamically set tab stops to the longest piece of data per a given column, eliminating the disorder of no column alignment and/or elimination of white space if 'Default Tab Spacing' was defined by the longest piece of data.
