Just thought I'd drop by to add my name to the list of people who have found it necessary to migrate away from TextPad because of the Unicode issue. I just can't get done what I need to get done anymore, and all reasonable faith of a coming new version has been extinguished.

But listen, you guys who are about to flame me as you flame everyone else have fun waiting. I hope the reasonable assumption about TextPad's continuing development is the wrong one.
