Hi,

Great product! I have been through the COLOR preferences many times and unable to find this so I am assuming that this feature is not there….

I have my TextPad setup to display LINE NUMBERS since I typically scroll all over the file when I am tuning or de-bugging my code. It would be nice if there was a way to HIGHLIGHT either the NUMBER itself or NUMBER BACKGROUND of the line that has been modified\changed.

So when you first open the file, the NUMBERS on the left column are LIGHT GRAY. As you insert new lines or make changes to the existing LINES, the NUMBER COLOR or NUMBER BACKGROUND would change to a specified COLOR. This would make it crystal clear as to what LINES have been modified.

I hope I explained this well enough, and I am hoping that this function is already there, I just have not found it…

Thank you for developing such a great product!!

Eric

You're right, this feature is not available in TP, but it sure is a nice enhancement. Visual Studio does this, and NetBeans.
