Drag Drop URL

TextPad has a great feature in it's ability to File | Open and then paste or type a URL. Example - File | Open, then type http://www.textpad.info/news/index.html
Enhancement suggest is to support the same thing for drag drop. If I select a link on a web page, it would be really cool if I could drop that link in TextPad and have it open.
Example use case - I have a web based directory listing (ftp server listing) and it has foo.xml, but foo.xml is bad formed xml. The web browser chokes when I click it. I tried dragging the file link to textpad, but that did not work. If I right click on the link and select "Copy Link" then File | Open in TextPad, I can then open the file and see where the XML went wrong.
Thanks.
