Here's another situation I run into editing several dozen files at once: a tool to run a diff between the unsaved buffer and what's on disk. (A friend of mine says Eclipse does this.) Rather than hitting undo-undo-undo (followed by the inevitable redo-redo-redo) just to see what's changed. Or, rather than writing it out to another file, then using a regular differ to see what's changed, I'd love to just have Textpad show me what's changed in my current edit, right then and there.

Good idea - I'd find this very useful.
