I am running Textpad 4.7.3. When I copy text from a file to the clipboard, and then hit F5 (to open the find box), the text I copied to the clipboard is automatically inserted into the find box. Is there a way to turn off this feature?

Its not the copied text that's inserted into the Find box; it's the selected text, and then only if the selection doesn't extend across a newline.

I don't believe you can turn this behaviour off, but if you just unselect the text you've just copied, you won't trigger it.
