I sometimes find that using the mouse-wheel scrolls text horizontally rather than vertically. Could I have inadvertently set this to happen or is it a bug in TextPad?

I am having the same problem, from time to time. Is there a solution?

I have seen that in this and other applications when all lines are displayed, but not all columns.

In other words, it is already showing you all the vertical space in your document and it scrolls horizontally because that is the part you can't see.

If that isn't it, then I'm out of ideas.

Holding ctrl down when you scroll makes tp scroll horizontally, and I've found that sometimes the ctrl key gets stuck down (in the pc like, not the actual key). Could this be the problem?

If your mouse is over the horizontal scroll bar, you'll scroll horizontally with the mouse wheel. Anywhere else will give you normal vertical scrolling.
