New Keystroke: Scroll Cursor to Top|Bottom

Post by MyrddinE »

Frequently I'm editing text, and I'd like to shift the scroll so that the cursor is at the top or bottom of the screen... I don't want the cursor to move, but the scroll position. Since I never user 'move cursor to bottom of screen' or 'move cursor to top of screen', I would remap Alt+Home and Alt+End to these instead, but perhaps there is another free keystroke that could be used for this. Since I don't use the 'scroll left/right' keys either, I might use Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDown.

Regardless of what keystrokes it gets mapped to (if any), I think it would be a simple addition, and it would be very useful to me, and quite possibly others. So often I've gotten to the bottom of the screen, and I have to page down/page back up to put the cursor near the top of the screen again. That works, unless I'm too near the top/bottom, where it moves my cursor. Also options like word wrapping can change whether my cursor returns to the right spot... it's just annoying. A proper command for this function would be ideal.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!
