File Number Issue

I currently use Textpad 4.7.3. Everything works fine except for this problem. Under Preference >Files, I set the number of recent files on File menu 9 and Number of recent workspaces on File menu to 9. Then, clicked "apply". It works but not all the time. It seems that the number 9 reverts so often to the default setting of 4. I wonder what causes this problem. Is there anyway to fix this problem? TIA. Insitus

Be certain that you have only 1 instance of textpad open when changing your settings like this. After making that change, close that instance of TextPad out. Going forward you ought to see the number of most recently used set to your desired state. I've had my set to 16 for some time now with no issue.
