Is textpad specifically used for Java?

Im learning C++ and wanted to know if I could use textpad to create C++ files? If not, if you could recommendations any C++ text editors that would be appreciated, links are also welcome.

C++ code, just like Java code, is nothing but a text file. TextPad is designed to create text files so naturally you can use it or any other text editor for your C++ development.
