I just downloaded TextPad 9/3/05 and found no Help file, also the compiler for Java 1.5 doesn't work. The popup screen asking me to buy TextPad does work, however.

I'd buy it, if it would only work.

TP automagically configures the Java tools if Java is already installed when you install TP. If that's not the case then first install Java and then reinstall TP.
The help file is under C:\Program Files\TextPad 4\system, it's called "TxPadEng.chm". HTH
