It's a minor point. TextPad is great; however, when I click on File, Open, the dialog opens in the List mode, and I have to click on the 'View Menu' button to change to the Details mode. Is there a way I can configure TextPad to show the Details mode as the default? There doesn't seem to be anything like it in the Configure, Preferences menu. By the way, I'm using Windows2000. Thanks in advance.

Complain to Microsoft - this is a Windows "feature" (as the File Open dialog is a Windows dialog)

You might consider Filebox eXtender from http://www.hyperionics.com/

Not exactly what you wanted - but useful nonetheless.
