Hi,
I want to change the shortcut key on the right-click context menu that appears in the Windows Explorer. I tried following the directions given over in Tips ("Windows context menu change"):
http://www.textpad.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3876
but was unable to make it work.
* First, the string "&TextPad" doesn't seem to be in SHELLEXT.DLL. "TextPad" is there, but no ampersand.
* Second, when I edited shellext.dll with a Hex editor, adding the "&" before the "TextPad" string, it didn't seem to make any difference in the Windows Explorer context menu--the shortcut key was still "T".
I did reboot after making the change. I'm running Win XP.
Any suggestions? Or have I messed up somehow?
Thanks,
John B.
