A ComObject interface would allow a huge number of further developments to be made costing Helios nothing in development time and upping the value of Textpad at the same time.

Com addins could be produced and published on the website.

The run executable function can be used for many things but it can't
such as:

• 1. select text
  2. set the active file
  3. go to a line within the file.
  4. identify a bookmark.
  5. unlock files locked by textpad.(Need to check this)
  6. relock files once unlocked.
  7. respond to events within textpad.
