It would be nice to be be able to see special characters displayed in ASCII mode. For example, carriage returns to be displayed as <CR>, line feeds as <LF>, nulls as <NULL>, etc. Right now I have to open up the file in Binary mode in order to see them in hex, which is inconvinient and doesn't let you edit the file and add these characters quickly.

If this feature already exists, please let me know!
