Textpad stopped being able to 'Find'. I get an error that I think means Textpad can't open the file. Using other programs I can search and find in these files. It's worked ok till today.

I have tried clearing all my temp files, and also reinstalling Textpad.

I know this was posted a while ago, but for the benefit of others who may experience this problem, the solution should be as follows:

Please try deleting the following two Registry keys. You will need to exit from TextPad first:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 4\Recent File List

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 4\Recent Strings

Thank you! I have been using this for years and loved the search in files feature. My computer crashed and I had to reinstall and for some reason, it wouldn't find anything when I used the find in files feature until I deleted the keys in the registry. thanks again
