Texpad on PocketPC ?
The question is in the Subject...
buy a laptop
PocketPC is a completely different platform - it's unlikely that TextPad would be compatible and the UI would definitely not fit in with the PocketPC format. I'd rather use something with a keyboard to edit text personally too - i get VERY frustrated at the input system on PocketPCs (and i've developed some hefty software for them!).

Maybe a lite version of textpad with a simplified GUI depending on task mode (We don't all want to edit python code using a 240x320 screen). The focus may have to be for a few small files and not the wide range of filetypes and tools/features as on Win32.
It would be interesting to see what people want to use it for on their PDA's and the feature priorities.
