I do a lot of work with scanned documents. These produce variations on an error: ill lii jjj for iii for example.
I would like to be able to 'refresh' the 'find what' box with additional selected text without having to close the Search box and re-open it or without copy/paste.
[button] Refresh with current selection.
Related is the fact that when one has used a regular expression and closes the dialog and re-opens it, it remains with regular expression checked. Some will find this a feature as I do half the time. The other half of the time I wish there were an option in confuguration that would allow me to set a preference:
[ ] restore default settings to S&R dialog upon closing.
S&R new one, minor

I'd prefer to see regular expression searches and plain searches treated as distinct commands
I currently use a key-stuffing tool to provide myself with different keyboard shortcuts for these different operations.
