I use the TextPad as a live-log viewer while my program prints out logs while it is running.

So, automatic reloading when a file is changed is great feature, but sometimes you need to turn it off.
So, it would be great if there is a button for turning it on/off.

you mean something like the radio buttons under

Configure - Preferences - File - When files are modified by another process

?

I agree with JongAm.

I often want to view log files which are being constantly updated.

Textpad gives me 3 options
- Prompt
- Auto reload
- Ignore

What I want is either a button to say, reload now or the ability to change the preset 2 second auto-refresh limit.

WHY is there a 2 SECONDS limit, this is just crazy and a real pain. If the reload time was configurable with anything from 2 seconds - 300 seconds I would be happy.

Another option would be to only allow auto-update when item is the foreground window.

Currently I view log file, switch to working on another item. Textpad flashes and beep like mad every 2 seconds while it automatically updates the background window for the log file.
