File/Open/View

The "Open File Dialog" box shows the available "views" (i.e., "List", "Details", "Properties" and "Preview"). Currently, the "view" is "List". But, I prefer "Details" which displays the file-names, sizes, file-types, and last-modified dates.
I click on "Details" and then click on a file-name to open the file.
However, the next time I need to open a file, the "view" reverts to "List".
How do I get the default view to ALWAYS be "Details"?

Please read the answers to your previous message, it's *not* possible with the current version of TextPad, since it uses the standard Windows file/open dialog.
I noticed you posted an enhancement request for this feature, so maybe it will be implemented in a future version.

I think this question has been comprehensively answered in response to your previous (almost identical) query:
http://www.textpad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5990
In summary:
1) Basically, as long as Helios implement the Open File(s) dialog as a standard Windows Open File(s) dialog, there will be no way of changing the default view.
2) Yes, it's annoying - go tell Bill.
3) Yes, some applications (particularly MS Office apps) do implement their "own" Open File(s) dialogs - in my mind these alternatives tend to be equally if not more annoying in other ways.
4) I would imagine that to implement a workable Open File(s) dialog is pretty non-trivial and would involve a substantial programming effort on the part of Helios.
5) If you think it is important, post a poll. Personally, I have almost grown to accept it as a(nother) bit of Windows cr*pness that we all learn to live with.

Same annoys me.
The fastest way I found to view details is to click in an empty area of the folder view and hit V, and then D to View>Details.
