Can we expect a new version of TextPad soon ?
If so, what new features have been implemented ?

Most likely not. Most of the top text editors are RARELY updated I've found. It's as if the developers don't really use their apps, and thus they fall into neglect. I know one developer who has started building a new text editor, but as we all know, it's a far more complicated task than it appears.

Or, the editor is already stable and has a good set of features, so you shouldn't expect a lot of churn.

Or.. it ends up with so much bloat that it should be renamed "Microsoft Textpad"

Many of the requests I've read seem to be from the developer community.
Textpad is a text editor, not a programmer's editor. Too bad but that seems to be the way it's going to stay.

Why is that a bad thing? TextPad's the best editor I've ever used to write code.
