I have created a new custom file type, and it shows up OK in Preferences..., but it does not show up in Open File, or Save As.

I tried again using the wizard, and same result.

Any suggestions? (Ver. 4.7.3 on XP Pro)

Please see Configure/Preferences/File Name Filters.

Did you add an entry for it in
Configure - Preferences - File Name Filters ?

These filter entries are NOT generated automatically.
