Filenames Not Displaying Correctly

Files with a & in the name appear to open, close, save and update correctly. However, the & shows as a % in the Document Tabs.
This could be done on purpose.
I know from my Windows programming days that an "&" results in a "_" in menus (and I think it also denoted a menu accelerator).
